Sandcastle is located on Mustang Island beach in Port Aransas, Texas. This large, beautiful beachfront resort offers spectacular views of the Gulf of Mexico and is one of the few premier lodging options available on the island. When Sandcastle approached Elevology, they were concerned the existing website did not sufficiently express the beauty and spirit of this fine property. The website did not provide a positive user experience and although there was a high visitor rate, they were leaving quickly or “bouncing” rather than continuing on to view other pages within the site. Site users were unable to quickly and efficiently complete the process of reserving a room.
To address these and other functionality issues, Elevology designed a robust, dynamically visual content management system based website that delivers as much on user experience as it does with impact. The new site home page captivates users with dramatic aerial drone footage of the property and sweeping images of the ocean. The design expresses feelings – renew, fun, relax, love – through the use of visual imagery and copy. Additional site features include responsive design, social media integration, feedback form, local attractions directory and events calendar. Since launch, the site has garnered favorable reviews for its ease of use and elegant presentation. Early indications are that Sandcastle will experience a dramatic increase in online traffic and bookings from the new website.
